Do you have a keen interested in nature and wildlife, and have you always wondered how taxidermy is done? Wonder no more, as the Taxidermy Association of Ireland are hosting workshop days!

At these events, we will have room for a number of eager students, but as spaces are limited we advise interested parties to decide and book quickly, as they will be on a first come first serve basis!

On the Day
workshopDuring the event, you will learn the basic process of bird or mammal taxidermy (depending on the workshop you attend), through the instruction of some of Ireland’s own professionals. You and your fellow course takers will be guided through the process from start to finish; from skinning to a finished specimen, and will leave the day with your piece and enough knowledge to continue this wonderful form of wildlife art at home if you so desire. This day-course is open not just to members of the T.A.I, but to everyone! However members will have the added benefit of a greatly reduced price for this workshop, so why not join us if you haven’t already and grab yourself a great deal. Classes start at 10am and finish at 5pm. Some classes may run over slightly due to the nature of the class.

What do I need to bring?
Nothing but yourself! From specimen to working materials all will be provided by the T.A.I! Bringing a notebook would be handy, so you can keep track of all the invaluable information provided on the day, but no special supplies are needed. We also provide a packed lunch on the day.

Member price: €90,-
Non-member price: €120,- *
